These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the FjordPulse iOS app ("FjordPulse", "the app"). By downloading or using the app you accept these Terms.
FjordPulse is an independent personal project that displays public Norwegian salmon-aquaculture data sourced from BarentsWatch, the Norwegian government's marine open-data service. The app exists to make this information easier to browse on mobile and is provided free of charge.
The data shown in FjordPulse is provided for informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, regulatory, veterinary, environmental, or operational advice. Do not make business, investment, salmon-farming, fishing, or environmental decisions solely on the basis of what you see in this app. Always consult the primary source and qualified professionals before acting on aquaculture data.
While we take reasonable steps to mirror BarentsWatch's data faithfully, we make no warranty about its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Farm reports are filed weekly and may contain errors, lag, or omissions outside our control. Sea-lice limits and disease outbreak data may change between the time the data is published and the time you see it in the app.

The app's code is © 2026 the developer. The underlying farm data is open data published by BarentsWatch under their terms; we do not claim ownership of it. Apple and the App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.; we are not affiliated with Apple beyond participating in the Apple Developer Program.
FjordPulse works fully without an account. You may optionally sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google to save your favorite farms and saved searches and sync them across your devices. You are responsible for keeping access to your underlying Apple or Google account secure. You can sign out at any time, and you can permanently delete your FjordPulse account and all of its data in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account. What we store and how we handle it is described in the Privacy Policy.
FjordPulse is provided free of charge and is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. By using the app you acknowledge that ads may be displayed and that Google processes advertising-related data as described in the Privacy Policy. The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, so ads are non-personalized by default.
FjordPulse relies on third-party services whose own terms of service apply when you use the related features: Apple's App Attest framework; Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In (only if you choose to sign in); Google AdMob (advertising); and, when the language is set to English, Google Translate. The Privacy Policy describes what data flows where.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, FjordPulse — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, regulatory non-compliance, or business interruption.
We may suspend or terminate access to the backing API at any time, with or without notice, if continued service is no longer feasible or if you breach these Terms.
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved before the courts of Oslo, Norway.
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
